This policy explains what Event Beast (“we”, “us”) collects when you use eventbeast.net, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account details: the username, @handle, email address and region you give us when you sign up. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash, never as plain text.
• Your activity in the app: the events you mark as Scheduled or Want to Go, your category filters, your color mode and your last selected region.
• Events you suggest: the details you submit, and the account that submitted them.
• Basic technical data: like most websites, our server receives your IP address, browser type and the pages requested.

How we use it

• To create and secure your account, verify your email and keep you logged in.
• To save your lists and preferences so they follow you between devices.
• To let friends add events you share with an invite link. Only your @handle is shown, never your email.
• To review suggested events, prevent abuse and fix problems.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and local storage

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in, and an optional “remember me” cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 7 days. Your browser’s local storage keeps small settings on your device, such as your color mode and region. These are needed for the app to work.

Advertising

Event Beast shows ads provided by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also visit aboutads.info to opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising. Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us run the site (such as hosting and email delivery), with advertising partners as described above, and when the law requires it.

Your choices

You can change your region, color mode and lists at any time inside the app. You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings. You can ask us to delete your account and the information tied to it by contacting us through the site.

Children

Event Beast is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
