How to use Event Beast
Put it on your phone like an app, then learn the few moves that make planning fast.
📲 Put Event Beast on your Home Screen
Put Event Beast on your Home Screen to maximize your list view and scrolling experience. Nothing to download.
iPhone or iPad (Safari)
Tap More options
Open eventbeast.net in Safari and log in. Then tap the round ••• More options button at the bottom right of the screen.
Tap Share
In the list that opens, tap Share (the box with an arrow pointing up).
Add to Home Screen
Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen (the square with a plus sign). If you can’t see it, tap Edit Actions or More at the bottom of the list.
Name it and tap Add
Keep the name Event Beast (or change it) and tap Add in the top corner.
Open it from your Home Screen
Tap the new purple EB icon. Event Beast opens full screen, with no browser bars. It also refreshes the events when you come back to it after a few minutes.
Android (Chrome)
Open the menu
Open eventbeast.net in Chrome and tap the ⋮ (three dots) in the top corner.
Install it
Tap Add to Home screen (or Install app), then confirm. The icon appears on your Home screen.
👉 Swipe events left or right
Put your finger on an event and drag it sideways. Let go once it has moved a good way across.
On the Calendar
Drag left to add it to Going (plans you’re sure about). Drag right to add it to Want to Go (maybe).
On Going and Want to Go
- 📅Going: drag right to remove it, or drag left to move it to Want to Go.
- ⭐Want to Go: drag left to remove it, or drag right to move it to Going.
The words at the bottom of the screen always remind you which way does what.
Moving between your lists
Swipe the bottom bar sideways, tap the three dots at the very bottom, or tap the small arrows in the top corners to switch between Going, Calendar and Want to Go. Your lists are saved to your account, so they are the same on every device.
ℹ️ Event info
Tap the green i on any event to see everything about it.
The info box shows the venue, date, event type, details and the picture’s photo credit.
- 🔗Learn more: opens the event’s own web page (tickets, times).
- 📤Share & Invite: sends the event to a friend.
- ×Tap the × or outside the box to close it.
🔍 Search
Find an event by name or venue.
- 🔍Tap the magnifying glass (top left, marked search) and type. Matching events light up with a bright outline.
- ↑↓Use the arrow buttons to jump from one match to the next.
- ×Tap × to close the search.
Search looks only at the list you are on, so use it on Calendar to find any event, or on Going / Want to Go to find one of yours.
☰ Menu and filters
Tap the menu button (top right), or just tap the screen title in the middle of the top bar.
- ☑Categories: tap a category to show or hide it. All / None switches every category at once.
- 📍Region (Calendar only): tap a city to see only events near it. Your last choice is remembered. Going and Want to Go always show all your saved events, wherever they are.
- 💡Suggest an Event: know about one we’re missing? Send it in. We check it before it is listed.
- 🎨Color mode: see the next section.
- 🚪Logout signs you out on this device.
- ×Close (at the bottom of the menu) puts the menu away.
🎨 Color mode
Pick the look you like best. Open the menu and tap the color mode button at the bottom: each tap switches to the next one.
Your choice is saved to your account, so it follows you to every device.
